Well, considering I only played GT4 through a friend. I've never really had enough time with it.

To answer your questions, there are up to 15 AI opponents in single player events and no, there are no AI cars in split-screen. I do have to say though that the gameplay is not really that different at all, they seem to be trying to, but I wouldn't count on seeing anything great until the release of the full game.

I've never been a fan of the GT series, and to be honest i can't see this game changing my mind.

Polyphony seem to rely far too much on the graphics without adding much gameplay.
The lack of damage is the main problem for me, as there is no incentive to drive "properly".

Additionally in GT4 there were only ever 6 or 7 other cars on the track.... and in split-screen there were no AI cars!! Have Polyphony addressed this issue at all with GT5?

This is not a comment about your post (y'know, just in case you thought I'd developed an opinion on GT5...) Instead just to say I've gone and got myself a Wordpress blog. I hope you're happy.
